What’s the best thing about being a writer?

The best thing about being a writer is creating worlds and personalities in your imagination that you can visit anytime you want. And, when the time is right, you can invite others into that world and enjoy it together.

What are you currently working on?

Charlotte’s Revenge – Book Two of the Finding Home Mystery Series. It’s release date is October 18, 2020 in honor of my grandfather.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

The idea for Final Harvest Book 1 of the Finding Home Series came from my experiences and memories of the diversity of property/homes that I’ve owned and the people in those communities. I wanted to deal with uncertainty and the emotional processing that happens when personal shelter is threatened. I also wanted my main character to be transparent about how she handled conflicting emotions.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Igbala in The Healer’s Love by Kierra L. Rose. It is steeped in traditional culture and the setting sounds like paradise.

How do you get inspired to write?

I get inspired to write whenever I connect with readers. Their feedback and curiosity nourishes my creativity. And I never want to disappoint them. Also, I love hanging around other creatives, no matter what type of art form they pursue. It helps to have other passionate people to bounce around ideas with.
